Post by strokerblue72 » Sun Aug 22, 2010 3:53 pm

I know i havent come on for a very long time but i have to travel almost 100 miles a day to work so not much time for internet

so far i have finally got the engine completed

too many parts to list everything other than the pistons and crank and timing chain cover have been replaced and i mean everything

also found that all the bearings were shot in the diff and it was just killing the unit,so again apart from the 3,91s and the case [489 case] everything was replaced even put a new tail on it even a dana style locker in there, also new green bearings were installed on the half shafts

i ripped apart the gearbox and installed the recon kit put it back together chucked some paint on [some drips that need sorting] and walla

everything apart from the engine was caked in grim gease and oil to give you an idea i also stripped down and repainted the rear end the match the diff.i have new shocks a new steering box and new steering componants yet to instal also have to take the Kmember out to weld a bit of chassis while that is out i shall give that a bit of work and paint him silver all the suspension componants etc will be painted white

i have just fineshd with the filler on the wing a hole 3 inch wide by about 2 high,

Next year i am hoping to either replace or have the wings acid dipped along with the inners and the doors i shall then leave the front end in primer untill i can get the new rear quarters floor pans and boot floor.

I am trying to keep him on the road as much as possible while im doing this, although he has been off the road 1 year and 1 month already
