Brought home a 72 SSP tonight
Found on Craigslist, bought it from a 19 year old kid whose Dad gave it to him some 7 years ago. 41000 original miles, original Arizona car.....Zero, and I mean Zero rust. Decently optioned with the following:
v5x 26 end
j52 l31 m21 m33 n95 rii
v1y u b41 b51 g35 h51
gy8 l3f6 gf7 b18 126176
e44 d34 rp23 g26 XXXXXX
Its in really good shape, interior kinda rough. vinyl top long gone, but its been garaged for the last few years. aftermarket 8 track was installed on the hump back in the day, even came with a Joan Baez tape and a box full of other cruddy music. not running, didn't even try it yet. Kid says he used to have to start it with a screwdriver and screwed up the starter solenoid. I ordered a Solenoid and tranny switch, will see if I can get it going this weekend. Missing some of the chrome trim but thats all going away anyhow. Will have it repainted same color I am thinking and just rid it of the lower silver. Definitely the most solid car I have come across, and my first 72.
I can never seem to find the Actual Runners or GTX's that people don't think are bar of golds.....so I guess I am a Satellite owner forever.
Will throw up some pics in the morning.

Too damn big!! And they rub some up front. Cant stand slotted mags myself...so they will eventually go bye bye. I am thinking of putting weld prostars on this one......stock size.
Gave the 71 sitting next to it to my son for Christmas.....the title anyway, he hasnt seen the car yet in person. I got an old water pump box, threw the title in an envelope on bottom, tossed in a couple of johnny lightnings and a bunch of shop rags, He had no clue, looked at the rags and the die casts and totally overlooked the title and said thanks. I just laughed and said are you stupid???
Darn kid sleeps with that title.
