'73/74 underhood pics PLEASE!!

Post by Hotwheelsjr » Thu Sep 13, 2007 11:15 pm

:help:

Hi all -- I am re-assembling my '73 SSP and need some reference pics to use. I am looking for both inner fenders and the firewall for the placement/routing of wiring and parts/pieces. I don't know if '71/72s are the same, but if they are...that'll work too? PLEASE?!?!

BTW -- it's a BB car with a 400 in it if that makes a difference...I know the pass side inner fender is different between SB and BB cars.

THANKS!!

Mike

Sorry for the dumb question, but what's SSP mean?

I can take pics of mine engine compartment, although it's been mickey-moused through the years and I'm not so sure it'd be a good candidate for you.

You need to do what I do,I go to a car show,preferably a mopar show and bring a good digital camera and click away,close up detailed pics,find a good survivor car.I do it all the time.Like Eric said if you had a 71-72 I have many pics also 8)

THANKS all!!

SSP = Satellite Sebring Plus

Patrick -- I'll take any pictures I can get, so please snap away if you don't mind. THANKS!! :beer:

Mopar71 -- I hear ya -- prob is, the local cruises around here have very few Mopars and certainly no '73/74 B-bodies. The next big show I'll be hitting will be MATS in Vegas next spring -- I need to get this car ready for my son to take it there... :D I can't imagine 71/72s are much different under the hood, are they? I know damn near everything is interchangable between 71-74 B-bodies. As far as general placement of stuff under the hood, I would think they are all pretty close, no?

In addition to under-hood pics, on the 73/4 RR, is the emblem on the lower right hand corner of the trunk lid a lower-case "roadrunner" or is it the "Plymouth" emblem? I know the bird decal is centered above it, but not sure of the lettering of the emblem...

Thanks again!!

It says "road runner" and is an adhesive emblem, not the one with posts.

A lot of guys use the '71-'72 "circle bird" emblem that appears on the right of those decklids (similar to the front of the hood of the '73-'74s) and this is obviously incorrect.[/i]
