Re: Startin to work on the Clone Runner
After a couple of coats of black primer and 2 coats of Mar-Hyde black satin the parts turned out nice.

Re: Startin to work on the Clone Runner
Today I got some more progress pictures. I guess with the whole COVID19 virus thing going around, the body shop's regular day jobs have slowed down.

Yep, I was hoping you could send it back my way for my 72 Sebring Plus crash project. But I just obtained a donor car, so you are safe!

Re: Startin to work on the Clone Runner
Still more pics.
I still need to enlarge the underside mounting holes for the Air Grabber setup.
Then it's to the body shop with it as it's the final panel for the car.
It sure is nice to see the major panels back on the car. I almost forgot what it should look like...
Now it's my turn to do some work - the body guy is asking for the hood.I still need to enlarge the underside mounting holes for the Air Grabber setup.

Re: Startin to work on the Clone Runner
I did finally go and see the car.
I had to drop off the hood to them so they can get started on it.
First I had to finalize the rear mounting holes for the Air Grabber setup. They are 7/8" dia.
Dropping off the hood I was able to get some more pics of the car and also give it a once over.
So far I like what I see.

Re: Startin to work on the Clone Runner
Man there's a ton of sanding going on there.
Quick question, filling the spot welds on the interfender just to smooth things up a bit?

Re: Startin to work on the Clone Runner
ralley72, yes indeed.
Check on page 6 of my thread - you will see where I welded in the new inner fenders.
I put putty on them to hide the weld marks.
Then I added the US cartool inner fender braces and burned thru the putty, so I asked the body shop guy to reapply and make them smooth again.
