1974 Satellite fender tag

tried to put this in the decoder and didn't work not sure I entered it correct. Could someone tell me about this car

B5 Blue - PPG Ditzler # 2627. Renamed Lucerne Blue Poly on the paint chart. I guess colors look better if you keep renaming them every couple of years.

Ya that came up but the KB5 is repeated twice which results in that sentence I didnt understand

The KB5 above the E24 is the car's body color. The other one above it is the top or roof color. If you have a vinyl top then this would be where that would be coded or if the car was available with a painted top, other than the body color, then the different paint code would appear in that spot. Hope this helps.

Do you have the build sheet? If you look at it there are different lines witch have the same letter/# code on them as do the fender tag. It will give you a better way of understanding whats on the tag.

Thats pretty much a Satellite With Manual Disc brakes, AM Radio, Manual Outside Mirror, Body side Moldings. 6 Cylinder, 3 Speed manual on the tree, Blue bench seat Blue paint

The KB5 above the E24 is the car's body color. The other one above it is the top or roof color. Ya that makes sense so if it had another code it would have meant it was two tone or had a vinyl roof.

Thats not what it is now though. Its a 440/727 with bucket seats and no side mouldings

Most of the fender tag decoders on the web are for 1969-1971 cars. Most of the codes for 1972-1974 cars are the same, but several are different. I will check my book sometime tonight.

Im wondering what I should do to my 73 roadrunner. It came with a 440/727 from the factory but the engine and trans are gone.

What is the fifth digit on the vin plate on the dash? B, C, E, or T, U?

E24 is a 6 cylinder! That code was used in 72-74 Your vin code should be B C E depending on the configuration.
