Roof Rail Weatherstrip

Post by general » Wed May 22, 2013 9:00 am

Has anyone ever tried Soft Seal's roof rail weatherstrip, their part number CH2089??? Just wondering of the fit and how close the cross section is to originals. I've been having difficulty finding one that fits with Metro Super Soft so I was wondering about this companies product.
Thanks

So it appears no one has used their seals. May I ask which company seals do you guys use?

What are you talking about? Do you mean what goes on top of the roof rail where the pinch welds are? Or the glass seal?

So Norm, I take it the second / replacement seal wasn't much better?

Hi Eric, no, the second set was just as bad as the first one. I have now sent them a sample of my originals so they could see how far off their cross section is. I was expecting them to tell me that they would revise their dies but instead I see a refund got processed on my credit card. So I guess that means they must have given up or something.
So now there is only one other manufacturer that I think makes them. That's why I was asking before I go and buy.
