1971 GTX stripes

Ok I searched and couldn't find a thread w pics of placement of the 71 gtx hood and fender stripes. Also the pinstripes in the boomerangs do they go over hood stripes or under them...txs in advance.

The hood-to-fender stripes are placed midway, front to back, in the boomerang. The fuzzy part is how far they extend toward the wheel opening. You can find photos on the web showing them ending a little above the crease line, at the crease line, and below the crease line. Be prepared to trim. Need an unrestored car to look at, or a known-correct restoration.

The pinstripes go on top.

Generally, they are centered over the wheel opening. They do stop above the body line, as ALL 71 GTXs came with the side body pinstripe. The hood indent pinstripes are placed last (on top of the hood to fender stripes). I have a factory document showing placement if I can remember to scan it when I get home.
