front bumper brackets
are there little brackets to the left and right vertical edges of the front bumper? Does anyone have a good picture of what they look like? I seem to have spotted them in the "green" thread, but am not really sure what' i'm looking for as I scrounge through my boxes...
thanks Kenny!

Found them in a bag today with a bunch of rusty fender bolts! scuffed, painted, and assembled!! I knew I'd seen them somewhere...
just a couple adjustments, and the front bumper and grille are on.

Off topic, but is the black blackout paint on the front of the grill suppose to be there?

Most lighter colored cars got the blackout treatment on the front side of the upper/lower radiator supports so that the color would not show through the grill.

Guys, that make sense because the color would really stand out in the front of the cars. That might be a bit much.

From the FSM, they call that bracket an "impact pad". Don't know why. Maybe to help stabilize the bumper since the mounting bolts are all down low?

Nope, sorry. The impact pad and the bracket are two separate entities. On the previous page (3-33) in the FSM in circle view V, the bracket is bolted to the impact pad. The other end of the bracket goes to the side of the front bumper. Hope this helps.
