It was a LOT of years ago. Before you joined the Nest believe it or not! So it's not like you would have any way of knowing.

Re: The Future of the Road Runner Nest
I'm willing to contribute. Has anyone concidered having T-shirts made for membership? Just a thought that might be a possibility to generate funds for the site. It seems to me that are a few guy's on here who seem pretty talented in that department. Either way I'm in.
Re: The Future of the Road Runner Nest
That has been discussed, but I don't think it was really pursued... we should probably reconsider doing that.

Re: The Future of the Road Runner Nest
A couple quick updates:
We've pretty much made the decision on the new software to power the site. I'm excited for all the functionality it will bring! As promised earlier, it will include the return of the image gallery (this time open for community contributions), a much more robust system to support a technical archive, the ability for members to put together their own project blogs hosted here on the Nest, and of course at the core will be the message forums.
Eric, Bruce and I have a good amount of work to do to both plan and implement this change, so don't be expecting a new look to the site when you log in next week. We'll do our best to make it happen as quickly as we can, and to keep everyone updated on the progress.
I've put up another post that details the info for those that were wanting to contribute to the financial support of the Nest. The initial purchase of the software is likely to happen in the next week or so (again, pending the planning that the 3 of us need to do). Another giant thank you in advance to everyone for your support!

Re: The Future of the Road Runner Nest
I want to thank everybody who's made a contribution towards the new software! The support for the community is really appreciated by Bruce, Eric, and me.
As a quick update, the planning for how exactly we'll do the configuration and migration is in process. There are obviously a lot of moving parts to this, and I want to make sure we get it right. From what I've been researching, it looks as though pretty much everything should transfer over from here to the new forum - usernames and passwords too!
More info on the plan and everything as it develops!
Thanks again, everybody!

Re: The Future of the Road Runner Nest
Hey all!
Wanted to take a quick moment and update everyone on the status of things. First, thanks to everyone who contributed! The new software has been purchased, and we are working on getting things setup. There's still a good bit more work to do, but trust me - this will be worth it! There is going to be some really great enhancements to the site.

Re: The Future of the Road Runner Nest
Dave, glad to hear you're still around. I was wondering for a long time what you've been up to or happened. I think we all can understand and relate to how life's changes and family comes and not devoting time to this hobby of ours. Hope all is good on the home front with you.
I too, am in and be supportive to give to know there's a special forum for our cars. Glad to know hopefully, we can keep it going and you didnt sell the forum out. I still go to the others, but to know there's a specigic gorum for just our cars. This forum has been a blessing with info and the members. Some members I've talked and vhatted with about questions, etc have been wonderful.
Personally, I would welcome a section to post pictures about wgat we are doing with these cars. I've been wanting to post a section dedicated to my car. Waiting on the body work to get done, which should be soon, so I can post. My car is in good hands. It will be a frak of nature for sure, LOL
Dave, hope you see this pist. I might want an avatar from you for my car. Let me know the specifics.
Thanks to Eric, Ctown, 72RRGtx, and everyone else here. The rest who I didn't mention off the top of my head, don't take it offensive
