Motor mounts.. which or who?

Post by rr6pak » Tue Dec 03, 2013 1:16 pm

Looking for a good set of motor mounts for my 400 that's going into my 71. Who have you used? Original OE? I know anout Schumachers and a place call Mighty Mounts.

Thanks

There was a discussion on this over at mopatrs, and seems like some people didn't like them. Really all we need is one for the drivers side, so instead of paying that very high price for two, I'm going to make a safety cable for the drivers side, and keep my money.

I bought the shaumachers poly mounts, although from reading on most forums is that you get the best benefit from having a engine tension rod that bolts the engine to the frame, Shaumachers also sells these...

Years ago one of the mopar magazines did a test of some of the motor mounts available at the time and found that the oem Chrysler ones held up the best. Not sure if they compare to whats out today.
