Slapstick placement

Post by aerodynamic » Thu Jun 08, 2006 11:14 pm

Hi all,

Anyone have pictures of console bracket and slapstick shifter bracket placement? My car has already had the column swapped over to floorshift style, but at the moment it has an ugly aftermarket shifter, and I want to put in stock looking console, shifter, ect. Anything I should know about the process? Thx for any advice.

Heres a photo of the brackets, the opening of the shifter bracket is centered over the large dimple in the trans tunnel (you will see what i am talking about when you mount the brackets.)

Thanks Brian, that will come in handy. I wonder how they knew where to weld that stuff. Maybe they had a template or something that the brackets sat in, they placed it, made the welds and removed the template?
