Fender bolts

Post by wejewill » Sun Feb 10, 2013 6:19 pm

My 72 RR is in the process of being prepped for painting and I am wondering if the fender bolts are painted body color or left in their natural color? If they are left in the natural color what is it? I inserted a picture just to make sure I am not making a description oops.
Thanks for the help,
Jeff

Eric,
Thanks so much. I have been trying to get that answer. I am so excited to find this site thanks to whomever thought of it. I will have to spend countless hours reading previous posts and looking at all the beautiful car pictures. I will post pictures of mine here as well. I have posted the first day I got the car already.
Thanks again,
Jeff

Where the bolts painted on the car leaving an unpainted spot under or painted separately and then assembled?

I never thought about once I removed the bolts from the fenders whether or not there was paint or bare rusty metal? I went back and looked at some images and there are actually rusty areas where the washer rested on the fender. Great Catch. Thanks
