I don't mind spending money on the car. I don't plan on selling it when we get done. Does anybody have pictures of the standard turn down exhaust, I looked through the picture pages and I don't recall seeing any.

Thanks, :)

What part of the exhaust do you want to see? The picture I posted of the blackout is a turndown exhaust car. You cannot see the pipes from behind.

I just wanted to see how far the exhaust tips were suppose to come out. Are there still small cutouts on the panel for a turn down car? Thanks again. I will check out your picture again.

Your car will still have cutouts in the valance, but they are much smaller and not visible from behind the car. Here's a post showing the difference between valances for tip and non-tip cars for 72, 71's would be very similar.

Nice car and welcome to the nest.

Here's another perspective to at least consider:

If, someday, you may be concerned about getting top $ for the car if you want to sell it, it's generally best to have it restored to all-original condition. The more popular or in demand the car, the more this is true. 71 and up B-bodies are not big money cars, except perhaps when Hemi equipped. Maybe someday they will be, maybe not.

If you don't care about potential resale value down the road, then I'd go with the idea of collecting ideas from car shows, photos, etc., and restore it the way you want it to be.

Enjoy it and good luck.
