Roof rail rubber

Cleaned up the rails, getting ready to install the soft black rubber stripping(the galvanized rail above the door glass), dumb question, which way do you glue it in the rail? anyone have pics of this or have done this recently - looked in my manuals and couldn't find anything on it, I'll try to get some pics up tonight to explain what I mean
400 stroked to 470ci, 3:55 Eaton true trac, slightly upgraded suspension lol
