Does anyone have a green hook for a 71bumper jack? Mine got blasted and the shop it was in didn't match the paint. Was thinking some one could take theirs to a paint store and get me a paint code or something. Thanks Please!!!!

Re: bumper jack
I have one I'll see if I can get you a color.
I will post a picture and let's see if anyone can confirm it is the correct color first.
The color is odd looking to me ,but it is aged enough for me to believe it has not been painted.

Re: bumper jack
There have been a couple of threads in the past that have talked about the color of the hook. If you are not worried about being absolute perfect exact, John Deere green is really really close. Good Luck!

Re: bumper jack
Here are three pictures of the jack hook from a 71 Road runner, from the age of the paint I think it is original.
See what you think.

Re: bumper jack
I just rechecked the part number in the parts book against Galens book and that appears to be the correct hook, not sure yet on the color.

Re: bumper jack
That's the color I have seen mostly around the net also.
Wonder what is the story on the one I posted? It appears to not have been repainted but I can't be sure until I have it here to check out in person.
So I guess I'm no help on this one for the paint code ,sorry.

Re: bumper jack
Could you post a picture of the part number on yours please, I'd like to see if yours has the numbers above the part number like the one in my pictures.
Thanks

Re: bumper jack
same part number....the green in the photos looks a little lighter than in person. yours is probably original paint that's just a bit more weathered

Re: bumper jack
At first I thought mine was the wrong part number, I had checked Galens book. But the parts book has that number so Galens book has a misprint in my edition.

Re: bumper jack
Can't find that number in the parts book, but came close with 2962689 for a four door and station wagon.
What is that out of? The shape looks just like the ones we have pictured.
