Re: Carlisle Pictures?
Not all, but I did get a few 71-72 photos. I'll try to get them uploaded soon.
AKA Butterscotch71....the road runner nest is out to win you over this year!
Re: Carlisle Pictures?
Droptop was there and his 71 was featured. I'm sure he's got some pictures. He's probably still recovering from the long drive home though.

Re: Carlisle Pictures?
I wanted to make it there for Fri and Sat, but the rain unfortunately ruined that on Friday. Spent the entire day there on Saturday and I loved it, my first time there. I wish I would have had more time to look at the ridiculous amount of cars and parts.
I think the 72-74s got screwed in their class parking location. We were parked alongside a fence, where a lot of vendors felt they could also park their jalopy silverados or minivans. I asked security repeatedly to have the vehicles moved since cars belonging in that class section had no where to park, and my photo ops were ruined by being parked next to a damn blue chevy truck. They did nothing, which really ticked me off.
Anyways, I was 1 of 3 72 road runner GTXs there. Unfortuantely I didnt get to meet anyone from the site. I recognized a lot of the cars, but nobody was ever at their cars, and I was hardly at mine. Ill try to post some pics later.

I didn't take to many pictures, but I did get a few of this beautiful 71 GTX. I'm not going to post to many pictures of it. I will let him show off that beautiful ride himself when it is finished. Here is a sneak peak from over head. I don't think my car took a very good picture under the lights. At least the engine calls outs can be seen.

Re: Carlisle Pictures?
One of my favorite cars the whole weekend, an original owner survivor 71 GTX. The car had almost all original paint, those are the original wheels....just about original everything. Dave and I talked to the owner for a little while Satuday. A very nice gentleman who was more than happy to tell us about his car, and genuinely seemed happy that we were so interested in it. You could tell it had been very well cared for through the years. We told him about the Nest. Hopefully we'll see him here soon.

Re: Carlisle Pictures?
My favorite color on a 72, petty blue! This car was coded for the tank track stripes, a fairly rare option.

Re: Carlisle Pictures?
Hi Eric,
Did you collect any new June '72 or July '72 build dates and VINs from St. Louis cars?
Still interested in learning when my St. Louis car was built.

Re: Carlisle Pictures?
I always figured if 'Bullitt' had been made in '71~'72 instead of '68, this is the car Bill Hickman and Paul Genge would have used in the now legendary chase scene.droptop wrote:I didn't take to many pictures, but I did get a few of this beautiful 71 GTX. The question then remains, what would McQueen have driven?

Droptop, Great meeting you at Carlisle! Sorry I didn't get back to get a closer look at your RR. That car is VERY cool! I love Triple black! Hope to talk to you again in person down the road soon.
