Sun Roof Drain Hoses

My Drain Hoses for my sunroof are just laying in the rear quarters,draining toward the front of car, is this correct, have be repairing my power windows and noticed this, is it correct?

I know for sure on 1971-72 sunroof cars this is not correct. I would assume this to be incorrect for the 73-74 cars as well. Now, how the factory guys did them, that is another question. There is SUPPOSED to be a hole punched in the outer wheel housing that the drain tube is routed through. Seen plenty that did not have the drain holes punched.

Shades of a '71 Hemi Super Bee that a friend of mine is restoring for a customer. He was curious as to why the floor had rusted out on the front right side of the car. He figured it was probably due to a bad heater core. Time goes on, and he goes to reinstall the original drain hose for the front right side of the factory sun roof. You guessed it. It wasn't long enough to reach the hole in the floor! So every time it rained. Or the car was washed. Instead of the water draining out of the car. It ran onto the floorboard. :bump:
