Mopar Nats meet n greet

Post by rr6pak » Sun May 29, 2011 8:54 am

I'll be coming home for a little while from Afghanistan in the middle of July then going back in the middle of August. Anyway, I want to go to the Nats this year and wanted to know if any members will be attending and maybe have a meet n greet? Also, when I'm home, I'll be working on getting my RR ready to go to the body shop. I'd be up to meeting some members there and get some first hand advice on my car. So, anyone?

RR6,

Will be at Columbus again. Got a swap space this time.
Will post the isle and # when I get it.

I always seem to run into someone but to set a time and place is a good idea.
We can meet at my swap space during the show or out to eat in Heath or Brice road one night.

What days will U be there.

I will be in Thurs AM and stay until Sun noonish.

Will post cell phone numbers too.

I'll be there at least Friday and Saturday with a mopar, just not sure if it will be a 71 runner. I think we'll have a swap space too, but I don't know the space #s yet.
We don't bother cruising Brice anymore, Heath is 10x better!

We are planning to be there all 3 days. We are parking on the show side in the club parking. We will be taking the '71.

Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough, but I don't believe I saw a single 72 Roadrunner other than my own. Granted, I spent much of the weekend in the swap area, but I did meander through the show side and the fun field.

Had some car trouble throughout the weekend. Shortly into the trip, the car started burning significant amounts of oil and fouling the #5 plug. I was having to dump in a quart of oil every 100 miles or so.

I got about thirty miles from home and got concerned about the oil level / pressure and a top end rattle. I called for a roll back. Not worth further risk to the investment.

Removing he valve cover revealed nothing obvious. Probably a valve guide, but I still need to investigate further.
