Hood mounted vs. fender turn signals

Post by rr6pak » Thu Apr 07, 2011 6:36 am

Are they basically the same exceptfor the length of wire? My car has hood mounted but cant find no repo of them. I thought that the hood and fender are the same. Can anyone confirm this? Also, what length does the hood mounted wires need to be if different.

Thanks

I checked my NOS set and the cables appear to be about 3 feet long and have a 8 inch piece of protective sheath on it about 10 inches from the plug end. I think that is about how long they were on my 72 that had Hood mounted turn signals. The parts book only shows 1 cable for it doesn't different for hood or fender and I don't think you need cables that long for fender mounted ones but I would have to go look at the car and see.
