1972 RR/GTX Emblems and location..
Ive been getting mixed messages on these items...I purchased a NOS decklid GTX emblem for my 72..When it came it has to location pegs on the back side..Were these not stick on style back in the day??..The seller insists its the same emblem as the 67 GTX front fender emblem and says MP supports this...Who is correct..And I would like to know the EXACT location of the fender GTX emblems and the decklid RR AND GTX emblems on a non air grabber 72 car...Any and all help would be greatly appreciated..Pics too..

MP# P3680160, Stick-on only for 72', no pegs. Here's an older discussion of 72' GTX emblem location.

Re: 1972 RR/GTX Emblems and location..
Im might just be able to clear this up real soon myself..The orig owner of my 72X is sending me a box of old photos of the car when new..He took the GTX emblems off the car as he said he was tired of people asking if it was a RR or and X ?? Plus I have an orig paint 72 V21 V25 RR car..The decklid circle decal is INSIDE the V25 stripe which is left of most standard RR's..The X emblem would HAVE to be placed to its lower right..I hope to get these photos soon as after reading the earlier post I still have questions and doubts...I hope its not above the circle as that just looks odd to me..

Here a few additional pictures of what I believe are original paint cars I have collected since the earlier thread. Post your pics when you get them, love to see them.
