OMG, are you telling me I bought the wrong part again!

Here's my original still in the dash insert and the one I just bought which I'm holding below. They both appear to be exactly the same other than the new one is a darker red and trimmed in chrome. I thought my chrome had worn off on the original and thats what I should look like. It was described on Ebay as a '71 only part

It appears I can't load an attachment. The "Browse" button wont click :(

There is no part number or Penstar on the back.

I have no doubt your right. The question is should I put it back on Ebay, use it or ask for my money back.

It was listed as NOS '71 dash emblem.

Thanks for the info on restoring the headlight & wiper knobs.

Regarding attachment of the wiper knob - yes the '71's are fastened with a hex key. Also, the discussion surrounding the dash "GTX" emblem - I have both types from a '71 GTX (one with and one without the chrome outline). However, the chrome one is very faint and can only be seen at certain angles. I thought this odd because I distinctly remember no chrome in my brother's car, which has been in the family since new. Maybe the early cars had the chrome and the later cars didn't.
