New here with plenty of pics

Post by Blue » Fri Jun 18, 2010 7:17 pm

Hello. New here from NC.
I see a few familiar cars from other forums ,but I just found this site!
Anyway, here are a few pics of my 74 Road Runner..
Originally a Dark Moonstone Metallic Brown with Tan interior and a 400 with a 4 speed.
It is now Vitamin-C with a Black interior, it also now has a 383, fuel injection, 4 speed, and 3.91s in the 8,75 rear.
I bought it in 1998, sold it in 2002 or so then bought it back around 2007
Anyway, onto the pics

VERY NICE!
Love that color.
Ok, if that's a 74 where are the 6 inch thick bumper guards!

VERY nice. Tell us more about the fuel injection. I'm thinking of putting it on my 440 Chally.

I'll wave to you on my way to Carolina Beach!

quapman

So far I have not had much seat time in the car since I put the fuel injection in.
but so far I am loving it, you just cant beat the throttle response, and the cold
running.. You used to have to let it warm up in the middle of the summer before
you could go anywhere.. Now it starts right up, and away you go. :D

If you are ever out on the North End of Carolina Beach, keep an eye out for my Jeep

Ahhh, one of those "North-enders" LOL.

I was actually asking for specific brand of injection, size, components, ease of installation, cost, etc.

Thanks!

Ahhh Ok..
Here is the link.
http://www.retrotekspeed.com/products/powerjection-iii/
You can also download the install instructions, and the software from that site
to see what you would be getting into, but it is VERY easy to install.. 4 wires,
and some fuel lines.
Tech support is also top notch!!! I have called a couple times, and have always
got through right away, and the guy I got knew his stuff. (side note, the software
on the website is not the current revision.. that was one of my calls, lol)
The second call, it was running a bit rich at idle, and he walked me through that fix
and had me look at a bunch of other areas just to look at while on the phone, it was great!!!

I was hoping it was Retrotek as that's the system I've been eyeing up lately!
