Maybe it's me but I have noticed two different looking strobe stripes. One is the stock OEM looking one while the other is a wider pattern of striping. Both are 71' RR's. Someone explain why there are two different types please?

A very inaccurate attempt to recreate the 72' design on a 71'. Here's what the 72' version should look like.
