Yes this has been asked before but there doesnt appear to be a clear answer, other than 295's are safe; but can we go a little wider without rubbing? Right now I'm running 245 50/15's and they look a little thin in proportion to the fat B body rear end. I dont want to see those humongous fender wells going to waste. Its like having a double D bra with tiny titties in it
I'm thinking a 8 or 9" wide wheel and around 12" wide tire. I've gotta stick with my Magnum 500 repops so I dont have to replace the front and I like the way they look.
One of the threads said we could go up to 5" back spacing

I have asked the same question but i not sure if the 71-71 are the same measurements as 73 74s.
If so,I was told by a friend i should be able to fit 10 1/2 w rears with no problem.

I would do a 9" wheel. I don't think an 8" would work. I have 275 on mine and they told me I would need to go with a 9" wheel. From looking at mine I would say there is room for 295. That is what I wanted but I ran into the same problem, no one knew how big you could go when I got mine almost 2 yrs ago. I played it safe figuring they might not last too long and I could then go bigger.

On my 71 GTX I have 295 x 50 x 15 on an 8" wheel with 4 1/2" BS and I think it fills the space just right.
I wish the tire was taller but you cant have it all....

I will try and get some pics posted of my 71 RR with a stroked 340 inviolet paint. I chose them sizes because I seen you posted yours in a thread a while back and I like the way they looked on your car. If they fit your car then they would mine and they fit nicely. Thanks for posting it helped me choose acuratly...

YES! my favorite color if its the same as Plum Crazy (Dodge/Plymouth name?)
BTW - how is the ride quality with those low profile tires, and, does the car track well or does it grab paint lines and ruts?
IMO some cars look awesome (ours) with tall wheels and others look ridiculous
