Has anyone installed some of these? Wondering what kind of issues if any you had.
Any info would help.
Thanks Norm

Wow, nobody has used these yet?

I'd hate to be the guy who invested in the tooling

Our member G-Series was involved in testing and trial fitting these panels. He can vouch for how good they are. If you've seen any of the cars he's built, when he tells you they are good you can take him at his word...

Thanks Bruce. During the testing of the AMD pieces, I hung two NOS pieces on two project cars. There is no more or less work to hang the AMD pieces than the NOS. In one case, the NOS piece required way more work. You'll have your typical pushing, squeezing, and prying to get the clearances exactly as you want them. It took quite a few samples to get the contours the way they should be, but the last sample was real nice and now they're finally here. I can add that the 71-2 Charger sample rear quarters, which are on my current project, fit great too. Front valances for the RR are almost ready. Some last tweaks and should be in production. Rear valances for RR have had their last revision and should be ready for production shortly. Latest project I've been pushing for is the door skins for both RR and Charger. I'll let you know when they commit to doing them. Full trunk floor, extensions and deck filler panel fit great too.

Thanks for the good report. I ordered a set of full quarters last week along with the trunk extensions. They should be here next week. I debated to just patch the quarters, but the damaged area was higher than the body line which shows from the trunk. Also, I hate patches, I think changing the entire panel does a much nicer job with little filler required if any. Besides , this also gives me the opportunity to replace the sound deadener that the previous owner scrapped off.
I will post the results when done.

I can vouch for amd stuff.

my gtx did full floor, front and rear, full trunk, extensions, and the new trunk drip rails. all the work was done at Rustbusters of Atlanta.

pics are below of the great work they did.

I've got police rallyes going on it in 15x7 front and 15x8 rear. no trim rings, I haven't decided on centers yet.

Is there any word on front fenders??? I need a LF desperately. (I'd be willing to be a test dummy)

Believe me, I've been pushing for fenders. So far, no plans, but there weren't any plans for doors either until I happen to mention I've got an NOS Charger and RR skin. general, if you've got any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

I had a chance to visit the AMD warehouse this week. While there I saw they had over 60 of each left and right hand '71 quarters. This place is about the size of 2 football fields, sheet metal everywhere. Their number is 866-591-8309. Their web site is atuometaldirect.com.
I said "Don't look Ethel, but it was to late."

They're still looking for good original pieces to make tooling off of... I was told this was a project for late next year.

Thanks Bruce! Yep, one measly post :) I'll try harder to think of something. Actually there is something I need to post about, so I might be up to 3 in no time at all! :D
