more K FRAME questions on 73 74 road runner

Post by rav440 » Tue Oct 20, 2009 8:03 pm

what body to frame bushings should i use ? these ones http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... MEWAX%3AIT ? or this type http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... MEWAX%3AIT ?

and on the rear frame rails where the bushings go there is a fine/thin metal band that extends down from the frame how important is this ? mine is rusted away .

also what keeps the K frame from moving around ? the original bushings had a square metal box that fit firm into the holes of the frame the replacement ones do not look to be as well made . here is a pick of a 73-74 K frame

I would definitely use these...What keeps your K-frame from moving around?? Four giant rubber bushings sure don't...MOPAR Performance use to sell solid cast iron replacements (no sh**!) they claimed were for racing only I think the ones at www.firmfeel.com will do the trick.
