Paint Question

Post by Elvad » Tue Oct 13, 2009 7:26 pm

My fender tag says T8 which i found is chestnut poly(1972). The thing is those paint chips don't really look like the original paint on my car..what do you guys think this color is? This is a photo of the color behind the rear bumper when i took it off, same color is in the door jambs and trunk...

Posting my own reply I think this color is T5 copper poly from a 1969 Dodge. This car was crashed, before the guy I bought it from crashed it, and before I crashed it, this car has a thing for stone walls. It has a 'new' LF fender (use to be blue) It was repainted this awful flat brown color (T8 Chestnut Poly??) you can see the original color where the molding was.. the trunk and door jambs are this color, not sure what I have here..any help?

Here is a 69 Daytona that looks like the original color of my 72. My fender tag says HT8, it is a two tone, grey and brown?
