Now what exactly does the V21 refer too? I see over on moparts there is a thread showing off some '72 RRs that have this type of stripe and they are calling it V21.
My GTX has the V21 code but its for the hood depression pinstripes. Does V21 refer to any type of hood stripes? I have seen others refer to the strobe stripes as V8 before with the tank track ones refered to as V9.
I know it is depended on the yr of the car but it is still confusing to me... is that just me or ma mopar or everyone else feeding conflicting info? I did a search of this site using V21 as keyword and it came up with 4 pages.. I'm at work and haven't had time to go over all the threads but I know some of this has been mentioned before

Re: V21 performance hood treatment
Ok....V21
71 performance hood - indent pinstripes
71 Air Grabber hood - paint blackout behind the bubble
72 Air Grabber (and I suppose Satellite hood) - part of the V21/V25 hood and decklid stripe package
without going back and checking the database to be sure, I don't believe f you could get V21 indent pinstripes on a 72 performance hood

Re: V21 performance hood treatment
Ok thanks that makes sense.... maybe one of the reasons I'm confused is because I have seen many '72 performance hoods with the indent pin stripping.
I will have to go back and look more closely at the '72s with the performance hoods.
edit: I guess I just did a big search for '72 roadrunners and most of the ones with performance hoods didn't have the indent pinstripping.... either they had the tank tracks or nothing in the indents except for engine size callouts. Even Phoenix Graphics only lists the hood depression stripes for '71.

Re: V21 performance hood treatment
There were three different stripes available on RR's for 1972

this thread at moparts has a bunch of pics of the V21/V25 package cars...
so what was the code for the "wide narrow wide" stripe on the shoulders of RS cars?

On 71 GTXs, the hood to fender stripe was designated with V8_steved wrote:http://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/sho ... w=1#UNREAD

(on 71 road runners, the V8_ designated the roof to quarter panel strobe stripe)
