Frame specs for 71

Post by Elvad » Sat Aug 22, 2009 5:17 pm

I was able to rummage through a cabinet of old frame books at a customers body shop and found this. Hope some of you guys can use this. My 72 has a solid k-frame, it is an early 72. Later about mid-year they changed to the huge rubber mount isolater type with the rubber around the rear springs too. I don't think these specs are good for those later cars. If this is too small PM me and I'll send you the one I scanned (too big to upload here)

Hey Elvad, this is almost too perfect. I have a 74 that was rolled and I need to replace the roof. These measurements would be perfect. They are close enough that I'm sure they can be of use to me. should I pm you my email?

I have a book for 74 with the same info. If you need info, e-mail me and I will scan and send it to you. I will need your e-mail address.

I also believe that the FSM has those measurements in the Chassis Book. I have both the Body and Chassis Factory Service Manual for the '71 Plymouth.

If my PM didn't go through, I would definitely appreciate a set of factory specs. For those interested, I took some underhood measurments from a 71 GTX, same owner since 73 that he states was never wrecked. Not to be sacriligous but couldn't find the preferred tram gauge, had to use metric measurements. Email me at FishHawk210WA@gmail.com and I can fax or try to scan and email.
