Some Interesting photos?

Post by 72RoadRunnerGTX » Wed Aug 26, 2009 3:12 pm

So I take my car to what is claimed to be one of biggest all Mopar shows in my part of the world last week-end, “Sunbust Mopar Show & Shine” in Graham, Washington. I’m classed as modified 71-74’ B-body, witch included a bunch of Chargers. Searching the internet for some pictures, I found these shots posted on a LX forum someone took. The guy that owns this flaming Charger later told me he usually wins this class. Maybe next year.

So did he win or you win? Your last line said "maybe next year" after his bragging. Based on his ego alone I hope you took the trophy you have a really nice car

Thanks, Plymouth takes Dodge this time around. The blue 71’ Super Bee on the left in the above picture placed 2nd and the black/with flames 73’ Charger placed 3rd. It was the fourth show this summer for me since completion of my restoration, it’s been fun meeting and chatting with numerous car folks but I’m beginning to think this car show thing is not for me. Some of these guys get a little too worked up over trophies IMO. May just stick to my local annual Mopar club show from here on out.

Congrats on the win! I'm like you I could care less about the trophy or award, its hanging out with my friends and making new car sick friends that's important. Especially when you go to a show that gives a Best In Class award to a 2010 Kia Soul that still has the window sticker stuck to it!! I prefer the car cruises at local hangs, no entry fee and lots of like minded people who want a beer, food and to talk cars or whatever.

Around this part of NC the entry fees have been going up and up, most are $25 now, if they have them I just hit the $10 car corral and not get voted on, the best people are over there in the cheap seats!!

Great car man, glad you got the win over the flames!

sick = addicted, obsessed, infected, possessed all the same and it appears you probably are Bruce. You may want to see your doctor for this condition.

You have NO idea! But that fit my dad better, who at one time had over 30 cars in his collection and had them stashed in buildings and garages all over town! :D

I can definitely blame my dad for my addiction. He got me hooked hard! Had me driving a '48 Studebaker Starlight Coupe at the age of 13 and let me drive his '55 Thunderbird one summer while I was in high school too! My dad was my original car buddy. :D

Congrats on your win, wish i had made it to see your car and others !
Watching [2] 1 1/2 year olds, for 7 hours, waiting for a stove to be delivered, etc, precluded my making it. I like that show, one of the few on grass/lawn I've been to. Plus it's participants choice for awards, which is nice.

My Former 73 RR/GTX , Silver Frost on Black guts, took 2nd place in 2002 in the 71-74 stock class at that Sunbust show.

Have seen the yellow RR/GTX there before, nice car.
Did that black with red stripe RR happen to be a 318 4 speed car ??
