4 speed tunnel hole size ?

Post by 1972 Clonerunner » Sun Aug 23, 2009 11:08 am

Anybody got any pics of the hole they cut in the floor of their 71-72 RR/Sats for the shifter and linkage to fit through? I bought the tub for the console 4 speed setup. But I don't want to go cutting out this hole in the floor blind . I'd like to have a idea as to the size of it . Any pics (or links to pics) of what you did would be a huge help, Thanks Dave.

Fit your hump to the floor, you should find it locates pretty well in just one location, trace out the perimeter, the cut will be about ¾- 1” inboard of the trace. You can make two holes, leaving the floor pan intact directly above the trans. cross member if you wish.
