400 MOTOR COMING TOGETHER

Progress as of today...Parts are still at the powdercoat shop as well as the carb and alternator are being rebuilt....Whaddya think???

The intake, water pump and valve covers were powdercoated as well as the exhaust manifolds , brackets and pully's...The engine paint is a poly eurathane that was color matched by a local company..The paint is from U-TECH...Great stuff..Always looks wet and if ANYTHING gets on it you have plenty of time to wipe it off without hurting the finish..

cool deal, looks like you're a little ahead of me...all i've got left is fuel, water, and oil pumps, lifters, pushrods, and rockers, and then the intake left to put on...then, going in friday night :D

Here is a pic as of today...Been slow as of late..Been stripping the body down for some serious welding to be done soon..Here are a few details from the inside..Numbers matching 400 with Kieth Black flat top pistons +.030..Clevite rod and main bearings..Custom Hydraulic cam 226/236 .500.......Comp Cams Hydraulic lifters...Moly rings..Pro Gear timing chain...All new ARP bolts..Melling oil pump...Mopar Performance steel rocker arm package with Melling stock rocker shafts...Hemi oil pan from MP....Ferrea intake and exh valves..2.140 int and 1.810 exh....Comp Cams springs, valve seals, and locks..Custom valve job,, 3 angle..Not counting a ton of machine work...And thanks to Bill and staff at QC Coatings in Shelby Township for the outstanding powdercoating work..Oh yeah an Edelbrock high volume water pump..The Thermoquad is being rebuilt by Harms as of now too...Carter fuel pump..MP fan package..

As of today...I have plans on having it Dyno'ed just to make sure its in top running condition with no leaks and partially broken in by the tme it lands back between the fenders..Best price I have got was 850 bucks plus fuel..I really dont know if that is good or not....I should have negotiated that in with the rebuild of the longblock..
