I need rear spring help.

Post by teddy1500 » Thu Jun 25, 2009 7:57 pm

I have a 73 satellite custon wagon. the rear springs are shot. I called mancini racing, the extra heavy duty springs will not work. I called ESPO, they discontinued the rear springs for wagons, they also explained that the wagon springs used a stiffer steel than the 2 doors, and that 73 is a special, change over year (71 &72 won't work, nor will 74 and up).
I need to replace them, but I can't find anyone with the expertise. can ya'll recomend someone?

Do you have any place locally that re-arches springs? Having that done might be your only hope...

extending shackes that link up to the rear mounting bushing. where you may not be able to find springs you may be able to either install new shackles or to have shackes fabricated to have the springs fit properly
