What is the deal with the firewall grommet on the hoses? Is there
a trick to getting it to stay in the firewall or what?

there all a pain in the ass .. did you drill your hole yourself or factory ?

do a little contact cement between the grommet and firewall. worked for me .. ( factory )

I drilled the hole on my other car a little titer .. seems to stick in .

Thanks for your help. Mine is a factory air grabber.
I am going to use the contact cement as you suggested.
