74-72 steering

hoping mabey someone could answer a ?. ive got a non pwer steering gear box and colum out of a 74 rr and i want to put it in place of the power st. unit in my 72 sat. is this a direct swap if i use both the colum and the gearbox? thanks,jeff

the 71-72 are not same as 73 -74

you have find one from 71-72 why do you want to switch it from power steering to manual?

what is the difference that keeps it from working if i switch both the gear box and the colum? i want to switch to clean up the engine compartment .the car is no where near stock so originality isnt important. thanks,jeff

the difference may be because the front suspension is different on the 73-4 cars, so a column and box from a 71-2 is going to be the only option.
