a/c bracket help.

Post by rthrbfishn » Thu Dec 15, 2005 4:55 pm

I am still trying to find a solution for mounting an a/c pump on the GTX. I have 3 different wp housings and 2 different brackets, and I still can't come up with the right combo. the one mounted on the car now, i have no idea what it came off of. AS you can see by the pics, it sits crooked and the low press fitting rubs the hood a little under acceleration. The a/c pump on the floor goes along with the pump housing on the floor that has the lower hose exit on the rh side. I pulled this off a 73 400.
I'm thinking i need a housing that has the upper rad hose inlet offset a bit more to the right, like the 73 housing is, but with the lower rad hose outlet on the lt side. or is there a different a/c pump bracket that fits the common housing on the car now?

numbers correct/ resto guys brace yourselves before viewing these photos :)

I am putting the front of this eng together from scratch. the only things present at purchase were the ps pump, 4 groove pulley/dampener, and water pump/housing now on the car.

any input/help is appreciated!!
