I'm out of the club

Post by 471Magnum » Tue Sep 30, 2008 11:16 pm

Just shipped the GTX off to it's new owner. It's on it's way to Lucas Mopars in Texas.

My garage is currently void of Mopars, but not for long. I'm taking on a 72 Cuda project. It's a very cool car in it's own respect.

I'm keeping an open space in the garage should the right '71-'72 RR or GTX become available.

Meanwhile, I'll be slipping into "lurk mode".

There is no reason to slip into "lurk mode" this "club" is all about Enthusists for the 71-74 B body, wether you own one or not!

There is definitely Foose influence on the Cuda. Those are Foose wheels, and the guy that built it to this point actually worked on building the Overhaulin' Road Runner of a couple of years ago.

I typically go for the more old-school look, but this car "spoke" to me. And outside of the paint and fancy wheels, the car will be purely functional. No fluff. All business.

Hey, I like that Cuda and the Foose influence. . .pretty damn cool.

You need to stay though, The Fluffy Bunny doesn't take rejection well. . . . that and a lot of us have B Bodies that aren't even running yet, so what the heck. ..

Well I had seen your old GTX on Lucas Mopars website and it took a slight bit longer for it to appear on the Texas Toy Box website. I will be watching it on the TTB site for when it sells they normally list where in the country they sell it to. TTB site doesnt have a price listed for it but on the Lucas site they got it listed for $38.5 k.

{edit} I see its listed both in the 'new arrivals' and 'cars sold' on Lucas site. I have noticed if Lucas and TTB are not one and the same they sure swap cars back and forth alot.

It was originally listed at $32K.

That price is just crazy. WAY more than I paid (and I think I paid too much).

Obviously fishing for an internet buyer who will lay the money down sight unseen.

Here are some pictures of the car coming home a couple of weeks ago.

Working in installing brakes and suspension now. I hope to have some progress to report after the weekend.
