HEY GUYS,im new to this forum, but i recently asked yo uguys abotu the crack in the frame and if it was worth fixing it and everthing. so i ended up getting this guy "Mr.Cobra" thats been fabribcating shelby cobras for about 45 years. anyways its all settled so we went to check the car and this was the moment if i was gunn abuy the car or not. so my father had this car when he was 17. a 72 rr, hemi orange 400ci. wiht the stripes on the hood, and he airbrushed the roadrunner on the side of the car where the 71 has its stripes haha. anwyays so we went there to check it out for the second time and the engine did wanmt to start but it was turning, mr cobra started to do all these tricks, with the engine as if he knew it form a to z. so we saw that everythign was perfically fine just that the silinoid switch was burnt and that chrysler only had the 2 pin instock, but i have a 4 pin. s osoon well be able to start it up. I cant drive i tnow cause theres a rust hole crack in the frame, its small so mr cobra said its a peice fo cake to fix that. so now im gunna give it about 2 months until i ship it off into the farms where mr cobra lives, because its going straight into his garage and were gunna sandblast everythign tho the metal, clean up the engine. paint it and everythign. anyways yo guys knwo what i mean. im basically restoring it for about 6 months, give it a good clean up, the trunk has to be all redone, the quarters gotta be all redone, the front frame rails gotta be all redone. anyways its gunna come out ready to paint, and my father is an airbrush artist so we deal wiht paint. im goign to do the whol car candy black and have flat black stri[pes on the hood and on the side. with the little roadrunner logo on the last stripe. i need toget the roadrunner sterring wheel, the little emblem on the grill, and i might change the emblem on the top (hood) because the 71 is ok, but the 71 has the metal roadrunner emblem witch i find is nicer, so well se about that. do you guys think ithe 72 emblem will fit on the 71??. anyways im rechroming the bumper and grill, all the numbers are matching 383 magnum. the interior looks good. im guna clean it up cause i want that shine on those seats. the door panels might be changed, depends on how i feel hahaha, i like the door panels that have the same patterns as the seets wiht a wood finishing going across, its beautiful. and then ya when thst all done and comes out of the paintshop, im slapping some rims on it and for example the rims im putting are the same style as the "mutant superbee" go look it up, its beautiful. and ya those are my magsss! not the same same but the 2 tone color wiht chrome lips and the mag itself black, and thenn i put a kickass setero in it, blast some metall!! and looook meannn ahah, ummm the origional radio isnt there so i think im gunna get one just to fill in that spot, umm then whens that doen i hope the car looks liek MODERN MUSCLE!!! witch influenced em in this the most was that 340 bronze pimped out roadrunner, hes on this forum and his signature has the car PRO RUNNER. honestly god bless you man, you must have all the eyes on the street on your car when yoru around, well anyways in a year by next june my caar in on the road doign the car. and hopefully well all keep in touch, i gotta start becoming a member of the family.

thank you
Anthony.

oh ya and on th other note. i just turned 16, i knwo im still a kid but my brain grew faster than others and thats why i have a mopar muscle on the side of my house

Anthony,
good luck with the car. Actually looks like it's in as good shape as mine. Wish I had a RR when I was 16.
Yeah it was 1971 when I turned 16. I'd probable have wrecked the car.

Looks real nice.

ya I. Can't wait till I could acually start the car and take off!!!. I'm in montreal Canada and I've never seen a roadrunner around. By the way how could I be able to check the fender tag, to see if there any stripes on this car, I know it was origionally orange but ya. Oh ya and I'm planning on driving this badass everyday next summer, so it will be my daily driver. How long does it take to empty your whole gas tank hahaha. I can't wait!!!!!

post a readible photo of the fender tag, or list all the codes on the tag in the correct order and I can tell you what options came on the car.

*edit: oops, sorry didn't see the tag photo when I posted....this stupid dial up connection!
