I say,its his car,his vision,he can do whatever he wants with it.Serious Satellite wrote:patrick wrote:While drilling the floor pans would indeed be the fast and easy way, I commend you for not doing it for many reasons (car value, in case a future owner (or yourself) ever changes his mind and goes back to stock, etc.) If someone had taken just a moment to do a lot of things on my car properly, I wouldn't be spending twice the time trying to return it back to a semi-sane state. And I'm not a numbers matching guy, just don't believe in jury rigging stuff. So again,72bird wrote:My friend came up w/ a solution for the seat bracket problem. Instead of redrilling the holes on the floor we'll modify the seat bracket mounting tabs by cutting them and rewelding them in a proper position.!
ain't that the truth. ..
72 RR,Are you gonna sand the side of the peices, like round them or keep them how they are?

Naval jelly is for removing rust, then you have to seal the metal after you wash it off.rust bullet can be applied over rust.Smellslike1974 wrote:Someone mentioned Rust bullet,so i thought maybe id throw what im using on some of my rust spots.72bird wrote:huhSmellslike1974 wrote:Naval Jelly!

Re: Homemade console w/ pics
Looks nice, reminds me of a car at carlisle that had a similar setup. Thats another reason I go to car shows,to get Ideas.Heres a pic:72bird wrote:Here's part of my console for my car. I still need to trim the top and stain it.
I also ran into a problem with the seat brackets from Scat/Procar these are available through summit. The holes don't line up with the ones in the floor. so I'll have to probably have to weld the old ones and drill new ones.
