Petty 'Runner on ebay
Anybody know the story on this car?:

It doesn't look like a legit Petty car, but someone went to a lot of trouble.

After looking at the signature,i think it was forged..
Heres my theory:D
If you look at the size of the signature, you would not be able to sign that whole signature with you wrist resting on the car so your hand would have to been moving off the car, which means it would have been an even flow of lines, but if you look at that signature on that ebay car,its not an even flow, the lines stop than go,stop then go,like someone was sitting there with a marker trying to copy Petty's signature very slowly. They'd go a little, stop the marker, then check the real signature, then continue which makes the inconsistent line.
Not only that the 43 after the signature was gone over a couples times, its double the line thickness of the lines in the signature. Why would someone like Petty be that anal about how the #43 looks?Im sure he could care less.

doubtful that it's a Petty car, as i believe there were only 2 and the one from his personal collection(restored) is for sale for over 2 million. but, it doesn't say that it's a petty car, just that it's signed by him and supposedly it may have maybe been a race-prepped body by a shop that may have possible done work for petty lol...
