71 owners, would you buy this part?

Post by Eric » Sun May 11, 2008 8:16 pm

I had a chance to attend a get together with a group of northern Ohio mopar guys yesterday and Mike Ross' shop (B/E&A, the guys doing all the good repro parts). A buddy of mine went up to purchase a few parts, and I ended up getting an incredible deal on a set of Mike's repro taillight lenses. Anyway, I was trying to convince him to reproduce the nearly impossible to find 71 door lock escutcheons. This is the clear plastic and metal circular part on the door panel that the door lock button goes through. Originals are almost always cracked, and it's very hard not to destroy them when removing the fabric to recover your door panels.
I was fortunate to find a couple NOS sets recently, but they weren't cheap! Sooo.....how much interest is there in getting these repopped, and what would you guys pay for a good repro set? Hopefully if Mike sees enough interest, he'll come through with another cool part!

They fit fine if you don't have the SSP/GTX bezels. Only problem with bezel fitment is that the lenses are all one sided (passenger side)

Wish I had enough to start doing that, unfortunately I need them. And we won't even talk about how much they cost!!!!
So, if the repops were $40-50 would you guys still be interested (hint, NOS ones would most likely go for a lot more if you can find them)?
