anyone else just dig satellites?

Post by landon1 » Wed Apr 16, 2008 11:41 pm

i need to find a good pic or go back where i know they are and scan them, but probably THE car that would be awesome to have, in my opinion, cooler than the runners and x's.....1971 SSP 383, black, gold pinstripes (that go around the roof and quarters - some may have seen these), gold interior, canopy roof in black, window louvers, and the sweet hubcaps.....chrome bumpers, taillight trim, belt molding, rocker moldings, etc. This car was in the encyclopedia of Chryslers at the local library where i grew up...the only 71 satellite i had ever seen til i got mine...a rear 3/4 shot of it

my friend's uncle had one almost like this...sold it, it sat around for quite awhile rotting away on concrete blocks, now nobody knows, but it was olive green, power windows, rear defrost, cassette, factory HITCH, A/C, all the chrome goodies....

there's something about em that's dif than the rr's and x's...i like em more for some reason

Satellites are rad. In a perfect world I would have one of each. A Satellite (SS, SSp), a RR, and a GTX.

I want a Satellite Coupe, a Satellite Sebring, a Satellite Sebring Plus, a Roadrunner, and a Roadrunner GTX. 1973 and 1974. Maybe even a Satellite Custom 4 Door, a Satellite Custom Wagon, and a Satellite Regent. . ..I do dig the Satellites, man.

you can only dream. ...

Hmmm, so the car Dave's family once owned and he's now "looking for" didn't really exist?

Vinyl tops are the BANE of Mopar muscle cars--they cause them to rot out from the top down!

satellites are good, but you have to have a RR hood on them.

they should have made completely new hoods for the gtxs instead of just adding vents.
