I'm encouraged by Chrysler's move to make the Challenger a throwback muscle car. I think that Daimler's disappearance from the Chrysler line will add to Chrysler/Dodge's resurgence, and I wouldn't be surprised to see the Charger completely overhauled.

My wife is actually wanting to buy a new Challenger. She'll give her Plymouth Neon to our 15 year old as soon as she's licensed, but she wants a Challenger.

It's a marriage made in heaven. :bump: My wife is as big a Mopar nut as I am: before I even met her she owned a 72 Roadrunner and then moved on to a 426 hemi Cuda. ..both yellow and black.

I loved my Fox and 99+ Mustangs. I've had, in order:

1989 LX 5.0 quasi-saleen'd w/ stiffeners, headers, pullies, etc. AOD
1991 LX 5.0 5spd, JBA headers, pullies, K&N, etc. 3.23
1986 GT 5.0 5spd no mods
1998 GT 4.6 5spd no mods
2000 GT 4.6 5spd no mods
1988 GT 5.0 5spd convertible no mods
2000 GT 4.6 5spd convertible no mods

Decent room inside, a little spartan but quite ergonomic. The 5.0 was a great motor, flexible and durable. My 1991 car I had for 4 years and beat the crap out of - never so much as a hiccup. Just gotta keep the oil flowing for those slightly oversize rings.

Got more TICKETS in my white 5.0 LX 5spd than any other car, actually. Sleeper it may have been, but the cops sure as hell knew what it was. I guess they knew from experience with their own CHP cars. I almost lost my license and once got nailed for going 135 in a 55. And that was the automatic!

Anyway, I think there's very little not to like about the new Mopars. Plain and simple - someone wanted to resurrect the heyday of Mopar performance, and I think they have, for the most part. I drove a Magnum R/T around one day and was quite impressed.

I had a 1990 anniversary edition mustang (lx 5.0, green/white convertible top&interior with gt rims). They are fun little cars. Probably should have kept it but, I sold it and now my wife has the proceeds around her finger

I thought it was supposed to show a new challenger on the road, something I've never seen before... I guess not though.
