How many colors..

Post by aerodynamic » Thu Mar 27, 2008 12:20 pm

How many colors is your engine? I pulled the engine a couple weeks ago since pretty much every orifice and gasket was leaking. Some previous owner painted the engine purple, on top of what looks like Hemi orange, which was on top of the original blue. Looks like none of them bothered to clean anything they were painting. Got my work cut out for me here I reckon.

i've wondered that myself...i've painted mine "Big Bad Green" because i was going to do the car in sassy grass, but now it's orange ...ahem, chevy orange, to be exact (i like the brightness of the orange better)...but my motor/trans have different colors on them...my heads were blue ( they came off a 75ish though (unleaded gas), the block was orange, and the 727 was blue

Well, I didn't include the picture of the intake manifold, lol. That nice Edlebrock was painted purple too, which is why I haven't been opening my hood at car shows. The previous owner really had a thing for that purple..er...lavender. He used that color for wire looms, pin stripes, brake drums, fuel filter (yeah, he painted that too), brake rotor hubs, and a few other things. One of my best friends has been ribbing me mercilessly about it.

Some people shouldn't own these cars.
