Another 71 survivor on EBAY?

I like on his fender tag decode list it says:
M2X Unknown At This Time
Correct me if I'm wrong but M2X9 Trim Grade/Style/Color M = Medium 2 = Vinyl Bench X9 = Black. So why do the seats look like they have gunmetal grey inserts?
[edit] Opps I just found this in a moparts thread and I see some of the '70 RRs that had this interior had grey/silver strips in them as well. Guess thats like my black cloth interior the inserts are not 100% black.

I had mine Ziebarted right after I got it new, and it did its job! I had no rust to deal with when I put mine back in the shape it's in today. I stripped all of it off back to the transmission mount, but then figured since it had done such a wonderful job for all those years I left the rest in place. Just cleaned it up.bruce wrote:Oh, Ziebart. Don't know how I missed that in the description. Especially since my Runner was Ziebarted when new... All I can say is that Ziebart didn't do for my car what it did for this one.
I even kept the original sticker on the window, the one put there by the shop that did the work. Still has the original little rubber plugs they put in the holes they drill to do the inside of the doors and rear quarters.

This is what Ziebart (and Illinois/Iowa winters) did for my Runner. Sometimes you've got to wonder how these cars have survived this long. The funny thing is, the majority of cars coming in for restoration at US Car Tool nowadays make my old raggedy Runner look rust free!

I was lucky, my Road Runner only spent two winters in Indiana...and in fact got it Ziebarted in Kokomo!

Bruce, that is nasty. Mine was under coated as well but no rust issuses, as of yet. Plus I guess it helps when my RR was in storage for 14 yrs.
Smeelslike...It is undercoating put on from outside of the factory.
