Place to get windshield & rear window gaskets/seals?

Heres the deal. Nick is right the rear could break into tiny pieces, thats because it is tempered. It's made that way so occupants dont get impaled from long chards of glass. Being tempered makes it a little more resistant breakage. That doesnt mean that you dont have to be careful. Work slow. The wind shield is made of two pieces of non tempered glass that are bonded together by a thin sheet of clear laminate. Glass form a wind shield is safer and stronger for wind shield use. Because the windshield has the two layers of glass and is not tempered makes it more likely to crack while being taken out. Just a touch from tools and even the wire can easily cause a wind shield to crack. If you break your wind shield let me know I can get you a new one probably cheaper than used. There is not an auto glass shop that will guarantee against breakage when R&R any glass.

I did get a rear but now I do need a front windshield because mine was cracked when I got the car.....

Nobody mentioned the clips and how they are installed to hold the mouldings?

the bad thing is NO ONE makes the back window, used is the only option we have.....

Well good thing is theres a chance to find a used.

You can buy 700 ft of the wire for around 5 bucks at any auto parts store. Stick it through, wrap about 6 ft around a screw driver or somthing ans use a sawing motion to cut through. You will need one person outside of the car and one inside. Really simple to do.

Oh, the rear window and front windshield have some sort of rivet that holds the clips. However, some of mine were rusted and I grinded off 2 accidentally. Just grind it flush, drill a hole and use the same size screw to replace the factory rivet. It works. They call them something else....it isn't a rivet.

Oh, how many rubber blocks are on the front windshield? I only had 2 I think............I don't the the rear has any, does it?

The reason the front cracked was because me and my brother was trying to get the trims peices off,and the previous owner or whoever did the the windsheild last,glued the trim to the window,so we got all of it off except the top middle connecting peice witch was clipped and glued so trying to get it off it went*crack*
