would these Charger (?) seats fit a 71 Sat?
Local seller - they're in much better shape than my 71 Sat/RR buckets, even if they don't match exactly.

bench and bucket cars use different outside holes (next to the doors). The buckets will fit in the bench holes, but the inside studs won't line up with the dimples in the floor pan, and if you use a console, the seats will rub it....

Want to see what they would look like in a 71 Sat??
When I order new seat covers I will get the correct Sat/RR covers so they look like the correct seats for the car!!

My car came from the factory as with buckets and the center fold down, buddy seat. When I bought the car, it was missing all the seats. We found a 72 Charger that had the same set-up. So we got all the seats and put them in my 71 Satellite. The front buckets and center fold down, buddy seat fit fine. The rear seat will be fine once I order the correct covers and had the foam built up for the correct seat covers. The back seat of the Charger is supposedly the same frame yet the Charger foam, on the seat bottom, is about 1 inch narrower on each side??? Once again though, once the correct seat covers are installed the foam will be corrected so it will be the same as it left the factory!

Humm, interesting!! I don't have a console. I plan on getting one someday. This is really good information!!Eric wrote:bench and bucket cars use different outside holes (next to the doors). Thanks Eric!
They'll fit if you have a bench too, just have to drill a couple extra holes.billzilla wrote:So they'll fit as long as I've got buckets in there, already?
I LOVE the buddy seat, btw -- there was one on ebay recently that went cheap... Anyone repop those, yet?

Just going from personal experience here...my butterscotch car was converted before I got it, using the bench holes. The inside holes do not line up with the dimples and the seats rub the console making the most annoying noise!!!! IIRC there are two sets of holes in the underbracing and the buckets would line up with the other set.moparmodeler wrote:Humm, interesting!! I don't have a console. I plan on getting one someday.
