I've done some looking in past threads but can't seem to find a consensus on who makes the best carpet kits.
ALSO, is there a how-to or video (like YouTube) on how to install a carpet like this? I've never done it, myself.
Ditto question for seat covers! My 71 Sat got bucket transplants at some point - I assume either RR or similar year buckets. They're black and the coverings are quite shot. I don't think they need foam, but I suppose it couldn't hurt (cringing here - I hear that's a pain in the rear).
Thanks!!
Best carpets? Seatcovers?

i haven't had to replace mine, but i have done some research and i think the main big companies people use legendary, paddock, and year one......
i think it is also pretty well known to put the items out in the sun for awhile before installing to heat the wrinkles out and make the materials more pliable. i think i've also heard that in order for the carpet to fit right, you need to replace the sound deadener. seat upholstery may not be as tight du to compressed foam (i've only heard about this one...)

Legendary sells ACC carpets and there own interiors
Paddock use to sell Trimparts but it looks like they have changed to PUI carpets looking at there color codes, they changed them.
Year one sells PUI carpets and interiors
I am a Legendary Interior Dealer and I am an ACC dealer and I am also a Trimparts Dealer. and I am looking into becoming a PUI dealer also, only because the GM guys are cheap and will only buy PYI products.
I feel PUI offers a cheaper grade or product.
By far what is out there, I sell 20 to 1 carpets made by Trim Parts, it is a better and tighter loop and they offer more carpet for the price, it is long and wider than the rest. One more plus on TrimParts, ACC black will fade in the sunlight in a short time and TrimParts will not.
As I said before, I sell them all and I am very competative with the pricing but if you choose to go else where make sure you know what you are getting.
As far as interior seat covers go, Legendary and PUI are the only 2 manufactures out there and Legendary is the better of the 2. PUI is a thinner material and the shade of colors are just a tad bit off from the Mopar color. Also there pleates sometime do not match from seat bun cover to the back bun cover......
I won't go into door panel unless you ask.....
Good luck.......

I think I may break down and buy reconditioned or repro seats somewhere. These buckets in my Sat are just trashed - the springs on the left side of the driver seat are worn, the foam is crumbling and the covering is, of course, shredded. I figure it's probably worth avoiding the hassle if I just find some decent buckets -- or even an original bench (that the car came with). I kind of like bench seating, anyway.
Either way, sounds like Trim Parts carpet is the way to go. That's the info I was looking for.
One thing that has me sort of concerned is the availability of interior pieces in the color the car came with (light gold)... Especially interior panels, headliner, etc. -- I'm considering just going black with all of it and nevermind trying to match codes on a car that's going to be slowly transformed into a Roadrunner clone, anyway -- which will probably wind up with a motor that doesn't match the 318 on the VIN (assuming it even matches at this point).
The dash is also a concern - I'd *like* to find a rallye dash with a good cover but getting the core off and sending it in sounds like a major undertaking - and it'll cost to get it done in that gold color (although I think the one in the car is GREEN - strange).
