RIGHT ON! just what i needed - i searched everywhere for a picture or even a factory diagram - i found one diagram, but it wasn't purty....i like the look of the silver on the kickdown rod - i may have to re-paint mine since i did it engine color

dang it! looked at a pic of mine and my linkage is a little different from yours - maybe cuz yours is a B block and mine's an RB? the piece that connects to the throttle on the carb is flat on yours but is bent to make it in far enough to meet the carb...now where should i hook the spring i just ordered? lol
i guess maybe drill a hole in that piece so that it lines up with the throttle lever extension and hope the spring isn't too long, or maybe modify it a lil bit

answered my own question maybe....seem to be getting pretty good at that lately
anyhow, guess i'll have to break down and spend the $15 on a throttle extension bracket deal - never had one before, but i reckon i better do it "right" even though it was working before

See attached pic of a 440 challenger I once owned. It had a later model block, I think a 76, that the previous owner installed. The pic shows the type of kickdown level that is on your engine. I believe this kickdown rod is from a later model like a late 70's version. Anyway, I had to use some aluminum tubing sections to space the flat rod so it stayed in line. It work perfectly.

that's a little closer...note how i don't have a "flat piece" it is bent inward to make a squared-off"S" kind of...maybe i'll have to flatten out my piece that's bent and re-drill it so that it's adjusted properly...more to come on this predicament

Mine is same as Ron's. I can bring it by for you in next couple of days if you would like. Mine is from the 400 that was originally in my car but it works fine for 440. I did find a good shop that rechecked and made minor change to my final adjustment for me and didn't even charge me. Great guy and a fellow Mopar fan!

Re: need pics of one-piece kickdown linkage hooked-up
might have to take you up on that
after the whole missing oil galley plug fiasco, i finally got the motor re-assembled and re-primed this evening/night. lot of work, roughly 5 hours, but everything is done, except for replacing my rear accelerator pump diaphragm, mounting the carb/hooking up fuel line, putting in driver's spark plugs/connecting wires. other than that, everything is done. way too tired to be dealing with a carb and fuel right now
should be getting my throttle extension and kickdown spring in the next couple days - goal is to have it at my dad's house by this weekend to start re-wirng, mounting new mirror, and other miscellaneous things
