Come on guys calm down, all they did was build a street machine! At least they saved one more 71 from the grave.Although i would do some things different the car turned out awesome. And with HEMI power. You cant beat that! And if anyone has done any serious drag racing you know the 8 3/4 cannot stand up to serious hemi power (i have pictures to prove this) a dana 60 would be nice but you cannot change gears in twenty minutes,so a ford nine inch is the way to go (actually you can get an aftermarket version so you don't have to be associated with ford).
Did anyone notice if they put quarter panel emblems on? and the grill emblem was wrong.

One more thing I thought about today in class (Obviously the $6000 tuition is paying off)...I bet they took all of the parts from the two cars that were left over and put them in a dumpster. That looked more like treasure island to me-I'm sure a lot of people could have used those parts. I don't know that they did that, but they did refer to it as the garbage or junk piles (something like that).

the roadrunner was actually bought by a guy on moparts and is now in restoration, so that is consoling i guess in its own right.
i cannot wait until the owner is driving the car and gets near a transmitter that transmits on the same frequency as his wireless shifting mechanism and his car goes into reverse for no reason hehehehe... There are reasons why they do not have wireless shifters from the factory.
I agree, chevy guys should not try to restify mopars,... PERIOD!

Hey guy's, The guy built a "SUPERMUSCLE CAR" I've seen it done in a lab with people, You mix some "Gamma" radiation with a nuclear blast and whalla, a "SUPERHUMAN" Then theres those pesky spiders that bite people into super powered somethings. So why not a "SUPERMUSCLE CAR"....lol
"Frankentien" was an appropriate name for the guy....lol I thought the custom front end they made for it was cool though. I can surley live without the electronc tranny.

I was sickened and disappointed with what he did, especially using the Satellite and having the nerve to badge it and sell it as though it were a built GTX.
If your going to clone a higher level car with a lesser one by changing all the necessary stuff to make it right for yourself is one thing, but to do it to screw someone out of more money is just plain wrong. I do love to see distressed Mopars get brought back to life, so I burned the episode to DVD. I really want that fabricated K member he used, it was a superb piece and lightened everything up.

I just hope that the 71 B Body craze dont hit like the E Body Craze has! There is a lot to be said for truly affordable parts!

I saw the same show. The question I had is they said they had spent about 55K and also listed the number of hours. It seems to me 55K was the cost of the hemi, drive train and body work alone and it probably cost them about half of that in labor on top of the 55K so I think they only broke even at 75K.
I also don't think the buyer or his wife knew anything about mopars, they just wanted a cool car based on what they said about the purchase afterwards.
